A man accused of sexual impropriety in Savannah has been returned to Chatham County after being arrested by US Marshals on December 23 in Alabama.

Sixty-one year-old Stanley Lee Reed of Midway, GA has been charged with Sexual Assault against a Student, Aggravated Child Molestation and Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes. All three charges are felonies. The charges are in relation to alleged events that occurred in 2005 while Reed was an ROTC instructor and teacher at Windsor Forest High School.

More than 25 years ago, Reed was fired from the Savannah Police Department. He was an officer from 1973 to 1977 and again from 1980 to 1982. Records do not show why he was dismissed.

Reed is being held at the Chatham County Detention Center.
