MARINE CORPS AIR STATION BEAUFORT, S.C. — Increased jet noise may be heard in the vicinity of the Air Station Wednesday, Jan. 7 - Monday, Jan. 12, as pilots perform Field Carrier Landing Practices on the Air Station’s new runway in preparation for Navy Fighter Attack Squadron 86’s upcoming Pacific aircraft carrier deployment. Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort sincerely appreciates the community’s support and patience as we prepare to send Marines and sailors into harm’s way.
