SCMPD Investigate First Shooting of 2009

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are currently investigating the first shooting of the New Year...it happened in the Tatemville neighborhood on Tuesday around 12:30pm.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are currently investigating the first shooting of the New Year.

It happened on the 4800 block of Temple Street near Belt Avenue in the Tatemville neighborhood around 12:30 this afternoon.

Officers responded to the area and located a green Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to Memorial Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
