The Liberty Humane Society is a finalist in Zootoo's Million Dollar Makeover contest. But they need the community's support to win.
The first phase of the contest entails accumulating points. Points can be generated in multiple ways. One is simply by visiting www.libertyhumaneshelter.com and clicking on the makeover banner. A larger amount of points can be generated by visiting zootoo.com and adding photos, videos, rating products and services, writing in journals, commenting on news articles, referring friends and voting for the cutest pets.
To remain in the running for the makeover, by the end of phase one on March 13, 2009, the shelter must be ranked in the top 20. Currently, the Liberty Humane Shelter is ranked #17.
If the shelter is in the top 20, Zootoo will visit it and asses whether it is worthy of a makeover and will select the final 10 shelters throughout the nation. However, all top 20 finishers in phase one will receive no less than $5,000.
Once zootoo chooses the top 10 finalists, America will vote for the Grand Prize Million Dollar Makeover winner. Second place winners will receive $50,000.00 and 3rd place winners will receive $25,000.00.
