Fog has reduced visibilities across the coastal empire and low country to ¼ mile or less. Some areas have even see visibilities as low as 1/16 of a mile.
The fog formed due to a early morning combination of increasing moisture and cool surface air associated with a wedge of surface high pressure.
The fog should gradually lift or burn off late this morning.
