Pembroke's Carroll Crossing Road is transformed into a search site. Rescue crews are looking for Emma Carroll.
"Hoping for the best but worried it'll be the worse."Suffering from dementia, the 83-year-old was reported missing after one of her daughter's left the house for a few minutes Saturday. "When they come back both doors were open just assume she walked off," says Jim Anderson. "She may not remember you know how to tell you where she is or where she should be …might not even remember at this point who she is," says Ruby Williams. "This area is surrounded y trees and ponds one reason why family members are so concerned . They say Miss Emma has wandered away twice before. Right now all they can do is hold on to hope and prayer." "Been searching the woods walking through the swamp, walking some of everywhere as far as the woods would take me to find my grandmother," says Gary Mobley. As concern ripples across family member faces no one is giving up…they're hoping for a happy reunion.
"Keep a look out for her. Her family would like to see her come home, and we'll continue searching until we can get her back." Family members say Emma Carroll was last seen wearing a navy blue dress with flowers and a large white collar. If you see her - please call the Bryan County Sheriff's Department at (912)653-2899 or call 911.
