According to the newspaper, Army Times, Sgt. Joseph Bozicevich, deferred entering a plea today in an arraignment held at Ft. Stewart. The 39-year old Bozicevich is accused of killing both his squad leader, Staff Sgt. Darris Dawson, and fellow team leader, Sgt. Wesley Durbin, on a patrol based south of Baghdad last September.
The newspaper quotes Ft. Stewart spokesman Kevin Larson as saying that Bozicevich is expected to enter a plea at a later hearing. His attorney plans to present additional motions in the case.
All were assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division.
Bozicevich could face the death penalty if he’s convicted
