Happy Square Root Day. For the math challenged, today is 3/3/09 and three is the square root of nine.
The math-buffs' holiday only happens nine times each century. Ron Gordon, a Redwood City, Calif., teacher wants people to celebrate. He's offering a $339 prize -- 3-3-9 -- for the biggest Square Root Day event. By the way, the next Square Root Day is April 4, 2016 -- 4/4/16.
