In a brief in court appearance, the arraignment of Grammy nominated artist, Chris Brown, was continued until next month.
Brown faces charges of felony assault and making criminal threats.
The recording artist had been riding a wave of success that's now in jeopardy.
Pictures of Brown and his girlfriend pop star Rihanna at a pre Grammy party last month, were taken just hours before Brown allegedly attacked her.

Rihanna was not publicly identified by police, but she was treated after the incident, and this photo surfaced on tmz.com showing her battered face.
"What we've been told is that Rihanna actually suffered severe bruising to the face. She was smashed in the jaw and in fact she had bite marks on her arm," said Ken Brown of e! Entertainment television.
Court documents reveal an argument broke out after Rihanna read a text message to Brown from another woman.
It says he shoved her head against the window and punched her.
That Rihanna called her assistant and said she was on her way home and to make sure the cops would be there.
It went on to say that Brown told her quote, "you just did the stupidest thing ever. Now I�m really going to kill you."
Brown was arrested February 8th after officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault.
He's been free on $50,000 bond.
Since then, the couple reportedly re-united in Miami.
After his arrest, several of Brown's commercials were suspended, his music withdrawn from some radio stations, and he has skipped public appearances.
With a career partially on hold, he now awaits the next chapter in his legal battle.
