Georgia's National Guard is getting ready to head overseas once again. The unit will begin to leave next month.
Today the Savannah City Council gave the Savannah based unit a city flag to fly while deployed.
The 48th Brigade is deploying to Afghanistan to help train Afghan Forces.
They are expected to be deployed for about a year.
