With all the partying going on it's sometimes hard to remember the true meaning of Saint Patrick’s Day which is why the City of Savannah sponsors Tara Feis. It’s a festival to help you learn a little about Irish Heritage and Culture. Held for the past eighteen years right before Saint Patrick’s Day it's a day full of Irish dancing, singing and storytelling.
“As we move further and further away from our ancestors who came from Ireland we want to keep our traditions. Cherish our traditions, our dance, and our music so that the children way down the line will have that in their hearts and spirits,” explains Tara Feis Chairwoman Bernadette Winters.
Free of charge the City of Savannah helps put on this growing festival
