Military police are looking for a
39-year-old soldier at Fort Jackson who has been missing for more
than a week.
Fort Jackson spokeswoman Karen Soule says Danielle Williams of
Spartanburg is listed as absent without leave.
The State newspaper reported Tuesday that her family is
concerned because she hasn't been seen since leaving a dental
appointment at the fort on March 7.
Paul Bostrom of Columbia told the newspaper that his sister's
bank account was wiped out over the next two days. Bostrom says his
sister came to Fort Jackson from Spartanburg for basic training in
the fall. He says Williams has two sons, ages 10 and 11.
Soule says military police are getting involved earlier than
usual in an AWOL case because of the family's concern.
