The Board of Education for the City of Savannah and the County of Chatham will hold a district-wide town hall meeting on Monday, March 23rd in the Jenkins High School Auditorium. The purpose of this meeting is to hear from the community about what they like about their public school system, where the District has fallen short and needs to improve, and how the school board can work with the community to improve the delivery of educational services for all students in Chatham County.
As a component of the District’s Accountability System, the school board committed to conduct one or more District-wide town hall meetings each year to receive feedback from constituent groups. The school board values the input of the entire community and welcomes this opportunity to hear from parents and other stakeholders.
Joining the school board members will be Dr. Thomas Lockamy, Superintendent of Schools, along with the District’s leadership team and key staff. The meeting will begin at
6:30 pm and is open to the pubic.
