Severe Weather Threat Tonight

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area again tonight. A few of these storms may become severe with large hail and damaging winds.

The risk for severe thunderstorms will be greatest over land but the risk may spread east to the offshore Georgia coastal waters by late afternoon or this evening.

There will also be a risk for locally heavy rainfall and frequent cloud to ground lightning. Any thunderstorms which develop will be capable of dropping 1-2 inches of rain, which may rapidly reduce visibility.

Stay tuned to STORM TEAM 3 for the very latest updates.
