GM Dealers Around Savannah Appear Safe

No dealers in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry report having gotten a call or received written notice from General Motors that their contracts will be terminated.

There are about a dozen GM related dealers in the Savannah area of Georgia, from Dan Vaden Chevrolet and Critz Automotive in Savannah to the Nesmith group in small towns like Sylvania, Jesup and Claxton. All reported they had received no phone calls nor any FedEx correspondence concerning their GM contracts. A few responded with confidence that they never expected to be dropped. Most, still, seemed very relieved.
In the Lowcountry, we called Hilton Head Automotive, the Parks' dealerships, Vaden Lowcountry and Rizer Chevrolet in Walterboro. Again, all say they've had no news which, in this case, hopefully is good news.
