At least one person is dead following a serious accident in Long County this morning. Georgia State Patrol says it happened just before 10 this morning at the DOT scales on Highway 38 between Ludowici and Jesup. The collision was between a Tahoe and a Toyota pickup. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation. One person was declared dead at the scene. Another is reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
