Man Dies In Effingham County Motorcycle Crash

The Georgia State Patrol has confirmed a 30-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday evening on Ga. 21.

The Georgia State Patrol has confirmed a 30-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday evening on Ga. 21. It happened near the construction site of the new Harvey's supermarket. Troopers say the man was southbound just after 6pm in a heavy rain when he ran into the rear of a trailer being pulled by a van. The driver was making a legal U-turn at the time. The man on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has not yet been notified. Charges are pending against the driver of the van.
