HUNTER AAF, Ga. -- A Third Infantry Division Soldier stationed at Hunter Army Airfield is being investigated after she did not deploy with her unit to Afghanistan.

Specialist Alexis Hutchinson claims she has no one to care for her 10 month old son during deployment.

Her attorney says Hutchinson was put in military jail and her child was placed in child protective services.

Kevin Larson, a spokesperson for the unit Hutchinson is a member of, says the child was never in protective services but under the care of a certified military family care provider.

Larson says Hutchinson's deployment has been delayed until the allegations of misconduct are investigated.
