Another Transitional Center Inmate Arrested, Still No Response From The D.O.C.

An inmate of the Coastal Transitional Center was arrested this past weekend, charged with robbing a woman at the Savannah Suites on West Montgomery Crossroad.

An inmate of the Coastal Transitional Center was arrested this past weekend, charged with robbing a woman at the Savannah Suites on West Montgomery Crossroad. He's Dion Bernard Antonio Orr. He had been at the Coastal Transitional Center on theft charges pending parole in March of next year. Orr is the second Transitional Center inmate arrested in less than a week. We've been reporting over the past week on an armed robbery committed last week outside the Savannah Civic Center allegedly by another Transitional Center inmate. We've been working since last Wednesday to get answers from the Georgia Department Of Corrections about how inmates are chosen for the program and how they're monitored. We're still working to get those answers and we'll follow up on this situation again soon.
