SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Police said three suspects are in custody suspected in two robberies Thursday evening.
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said the two robberies, at East 56th and Atlantic and East 54th and Abercorn, happened within 10 minutes of each other.
Police put out an alert for the suspects' vehicle, which was later found to be stolen.
An officer spotted the suspects at a nearby business but the suspects tried to get away, wrecking the vehicle on Country Drive. Two adults and a juvenile were captured.
Police also recovered two weapons, including a gun the suspects are believed to have used to fire at officers.
The suspects, Romell Stephens, 21, Christopher Washington, 21, and a juvenile, were taken into custody.
