SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Authorites say a man connected to a meth lab is now in custody.
The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team found the meth lab inside a burned mobile home off Quacco Road last week.
This week authorities said they caught one of the suspects from that lab, Christopher Davis.
Inside Davis's truck, agents found a loaded .25 caliber gun, about 7 grams of meth, and materials to make and sell the drug. They also found two-way radios and camo clothing.
"Meth makes one, the user, very paranoid. So a lot of times... We had some camouflage clothing too, and we had one of those headlight lamps. They'll go in the woods and dress in camouflage and somebody will look at the road and call things out while the person is in the wood line making methamphetamine," said Lt. Russell Smith with the CNT Major Crimes Unit.
Officials say the suspects were using a "one pot" method, a cheaper and more compact way of cooking meth.
Authorities said Davis is now charged with manufacturing meth and possession of meth with intent to distribute. Investigators said Davis is on probation from a previous drug arrest in Bulloch County.
