Beaufort County Sheriff’s deputies have made an arrest in a triple shooting that happened last week in Dale. Twenty-seven-year-old Earnest Stewart Daise has been charged with two counts of murder for the shooting death of his girlfriend, and a four year old child.

Early in the course of the ensuing investigation, Daise was developed as a person of interest. At approximately 2:00 am on November 16th, deputies made contact with Earnest Daise. Search warrants were served at that location during which multiple items of evidence were collected in connection with the murder investigation. Additionally, quantities of marijuana and crack cocaine were discovered and seized, leading to the immediate arrest of Daise on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Trafficking Crack Cocaine, as well as Violation of Probation and an outstanding General Sessions bench warrant.
