SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Law enforcement around the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry are searching for suspects in three bank robberies that all happened on Tuesday.

Metro Police and the FBI are looking for three men accused of holding up a Wachovia in West Savannah around 9:00 a.m. Officials say the three men walked into the Wachovia on West Bay Street carrying handguns. One of the men went behind the counter and told the teller to put money in the black bag he was carrying.

The men left the bank in a late 1980s model white Buick with a Georgia license plate.

Investigators are looking for three black males, 25 years-old or younger. Two of the robbers were 5'8"-5'9" tall, while the third was 5'3"-5'5". All three were wearing blue zip-up style jump suits, wearing gloves and masks.

Around 1:00 p.m. Pooler Police and the FBI were called to the Wachovia on East Highway 80. Investigators say a man walked up to one of the tellers, announced he was robbing the bank, and demanded money. The teller put money on the counter and the man got away on foot.

FBI investigators believe the same man is responsible for a robbery that happened an hour later at the Bank of America in Bluffton.

The robber is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8"-5'10" tall with a medium athletic build. He's believed to be in his late 20's to early 30's, shadow growth beard. He was wearing dark sunglasses, blue jeans, and a yellow/red blend shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 912-234-2020 or the Savannah office FBI at 912-232-3716.
