(Savannah) Breast Cancer Survivorship was the focus of a visit to Savannah by Congressman Jack Kingston and Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn. They believe patients should be put first...and that trying to control the relationship between doctor and patient only slows the process. "If a woman has breast cancer she needs to get treatment as quickly as possible. She needs to get detection done as quickly as possible," says Kingston. “If you want to make certain that you stem the growth of disease if you move toward individual cures and cures for diseases then early detection and disease management is of vital importance," says Blackburn. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
