David Edenfield Found Guilty

61 year old David Edenfield found guilty of the kidnapping, murder and molestation of 6 year old Christopher Barrios.

A jury in Glynn County has just come back with a guilty verdict in the case against 61 year old David Edenfield. He was found guilty of the kidnapping, murder and molestation of 6 year old Christopher Barrios back in March of 2007. The verdict follows seven days of testimony. Attorneys for both the prosecution and defense made their closing statements Monday morning. Edenfield's wife and son will stand trial as well. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty except in the case of Peggy Edenfield who struck a deal to avoid the death penalty by testifying against her husband.
