SAA Gets Ready for New York New York Auction

Start spreading the news! The Theatre Guild of the Savannah Arts Academy is preparing to hold its annual "New York New York" Auction with proceeds to benefit the SAA theatre department.

Hundreds of items will be up for bid in both a silent and live auction. Items such as Lasik surgery, a prom package (including a limo for eight, flowers, dinner, hair and nails and tuxedo), teeth whitening, a Tybee package, tons of gift certificates, art work from local artists, golf packages, pearl necklaces, gift baskets, overnight stays at the Hyatt, Hilton and Laura's Cottage and even a costume rental.

The annual fund raiser is especially important this year. A portion of the proceeds will help twenty-five theatre majors travel to Edinburgh, Scotland next August to perform in the American High School Theatre Festival. The theatre program was one of only forty-three schools from across the United States selected to participate.
