No Sanford Impeachment Resolution During Special Session, House Speaker Says

»  Comments | Post a Comment

South Carolina lawmakers were back in session Tuesday; a special session to focus on restoring unemployment benefits to the jobless. While that was the main goal, there was a lot of talk that a resolution would be introduced to impeach Governor Mark Sanford. Sanford left the state for five days back in June to meet his mistress in Argentina, not telling anyone where he was. After scrutiny, even from his own party, he has refused to resign. Meanwhile, he's part of an ethics investigation that's looking into allegations he misused state aircraft, violated travel rules, and didn't account for use of campaign funds. **Watch the video for more and to hear from Senator Tom Davis.
