Casting for Robert Redford's Film Begins Today

Casting for Robert Redford’s new movie, which is set to be filmed here in Savannah, began today.
Hundreds of people stopped by Oglethorpe Mall for their chance at fame.
The movie, “The Conspirator”, is the story of the one woman charged in a conspiracy to kill Abraham Lincoln.
Casting directors say they're specifically looking for men who can portray civil war soldiers.
Many at today’s casting call say they'd be a perfect fit.
“Well I just have so much talent it’s just a sin to keep it at home. I mean I sing Sinatra...Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars,” sings William Simpson who is hoping to be cast in the film.

Filming is set to begin in October and continue into December.
