Flood waters have killed at least six people and has prompted officials to evacuate several hundred people from the town of Trion, Georgia, where a levee protecting the town is in danger of failing due to the heavy rainfall.
The rising chattanooga river spilled into nearby neighborhoods as crews tried to shore up the levee. A georgia teen is reported to have gone missing after trying to swim the river, and in Tennessee a man went missing after swimming in an overflowing ditch on a $5 dare.
