The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate an armed robbery that occurred at a Hilton Head Island bar, Reilley’s North End Pub in Port Royal Plaza (95 Mathews Dr), Wednesday night.
Today, they released a sketch of one of the suspects from Wednesday night's armed robbery.
Sheriff's officials say that when they arrived at the bar, deputies met with the 31-year old bartender who told them that he had been closing the bar for the night when two unknown black males knocked at the front door.
Officials say the subjects told the bartender they wanted to buy a drink, and the bartender let the men inside. Once inside, both suspects produced a handgun and ordered the bartender to hand over the money from the register. The bartender complied, giving the suspects an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects then demanded that the safe be opened. When the bartender advised that he was unable to open the safe, the suspects tied the bartender up and took the keys to the bar. Both suspects then fled through a rear door, leaving the bartender unharmed. The bartender was able to free himself from the restraints and immediately contacted 911.
The suspects were described as black males between the ages of 25-30.One was wearing a brown shirt and blue jean shorts and had a mustache. The other was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black bandana.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl L. Novak at 843-842-4111 ext 256 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
