Can a bike ride through Georgia change the life of a struggling teen? A group of young men will find out the answer to that question as they take part in the annual Paul Anderson Youth Home Cycling Challenge. It's a 500 mile fundraising bike ride that serves as a rehabilitation process for a number of young men who have in the past gotten into trouble.
Their goal is to raise 85-thousand dollars during the ride that will take them from Atlanta to Rome to Athens then Savannah and Vidalia- where the youth home is located. The event takes place Oct 2 - 8.
Founded by Olympic Gold medalist and former world's strongest man, (late) Paul Anderson, the youth home serves as an alternative to juvenile and adult correctional facilities for young men between the ages of 16 and 21. Since 1951, the home has served more than one thousand young men.
