High honors for students and staff at Port Wentworth Elementary. The Junior Achievement of Georgia-Savannah, has named the school, along with Gulfstream Aerospace, as the Junior Achievement 2009 School/Business Partnership of the Year.
The partnership was selected based on its commitment to inspire and prepare students to succeed in a global economy.
Port Wentworth Elementary and Gulfstream will be honored at the annual Savannah Business Hall of Fame gala, which will be held October 13, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center on Hutchinson Island.
In addition, Port Wentworth Elementary and Gulfstream Aerospace will be entered into the organization’s competition for the School/Business Partnership Statewide Award.
The Junior Achievement of Georgia-Savannah brings real-world business experience to thousands of students each year, opening their minds to their full potential by bridging the business and education communities.
