St. Michael's Catholic Church on Tybee Island, honored the island's police officers during a special mass this morning. It's all part of celebrating the feast of St. Michael.
St. Michael is the patron saint of all security personnel. It's a story in the Bible, about the battle between St. Michael and his angels and Lucifer and his angels. The church's priest, Fr. Tom Peyton, told the children and parishoners at mass today that the police are so important because they're protecting us and that it's important to remember the men and women in blue and to always say thank you for keeping us safe.
