Chatham County District Attorney Larry Chisolm could be in trouble.

In records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, WSAV has learned the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is investigating a charge of sexual discrimination against the D.A.

Chisolm was elected in 2008 and, recently, has had several long-time and high profile employees leave his office.

News Three's Alice Massimi has been investigating.... going through dozens of documents.... and has more.

The charges are in a complaint filed by Jonathan Drummond.

Drummond was hired as a Criminal Investigator for the D.A.'s Violence Intervention Program in March 2010.

Before that, he spent roughly nine months with Savannah Chatham Metro Police. Most of that time had nothing to do with investigations......most of it was training to be a patrol officer.

These documents detail Drummond's charges of sexual discrimination against Larry Chisholm.

It all starts with Drummond's odd description of his hiring.

“He came to my apartment at approximately 12:00 on a weekday.  Stated that he saw me in uniform on Sunday and didn't know I was a police officer and stated that he wanted me to work for a program in his office. He proceeded to ask me if I could shoot and if I can fight. Mr. Chisolm gave me information regarding V.I.P. and his cell phone number and proceeded to tell me how to apply for the job.”

In statements to the E.E.O.C., Drummond details meetings and conversations of a personal nature....how Chisolm said he needed to “fatten” him up and repeated questions about his "jacket size" but he alleges it was an order in early June to go on a business trip that may have tipped the scales.

Drummond contends.... "I was required to stay in a hotel room with the District Attorney and one other male."

“The District Attorney insisted that I attend as a prerequisite to keep my job and stay in the same room with him.”

"After I made a complaint with Human Resources, I was retaliated against and placed on administrative leave. I was not permitted to do my job in the Violence Intervention Program at Memorial Hospital and was relocated closer to the District Attorney on Montgomery Street who continued to ask me to lunch and to his office for matters unrelated to my job. I was placed at desk with no means to perform my duties, no telephone or computer. "

We tried to reach Drummond and his Attorney but they did not return my calls.

The County Attorney, Jonathan Hart did return my call but says he has no comment.

Mr. Chisolm's Attorney G. Todd Carter also said he had no comment since it's an ongoing investigation.

We will continue to follow this story ...
