Folks from the Savannah Regional Central Labor Council put on their Santa hats Monday to bring a Merry Christmas to some local military families.
Volunteers gathered to wrap more than 100 gifts. They'll be handed out Tuesday to twenty families at Hunter Army Airfield.
Council leaders say it's all about giving back to the community during the holiday season.
"One of our members, his son was over in Iraq and he was very concerned about being over there with his wife and kids over here and not being able to provide Christmas. A discussion broke into a project, and we've been doing it ever since," said Brett Hulme, president of the Savannah Regional Central Labor Council, which includes 35 different unions.
This is the fifth year that the council has done the holiday gift drive.
