Delta Reduces Fares at Savannah International Airport

Fare decreases come after letters from community leaders.

(Savannah, Ga.--February 2, 2010) – In an apparent response to letters from community leaders in Savannah and Hilton Head Island, Delta Air Lines has adjusted its air fares from Savannah to Atlanta (and beyond). Air fares from Savannah/Hilton International to Atlanta with 7 days advanced purchase have fallen from $540 to $450, and tickets can be purchased for as low as $278 and $258 for 10 and 14 days advanced purchase.
After receiving word last week from Delta that fares out of Savannah/Hilton Head were considered “fair and reasonable”, community leaders responded that their main point of concern was the cost of flights to and from Atlanta. Although Delta has not responded again formally, significantly lower fares are now available for purchase.
