Widow in Heidt Murder Arrested for Threatening Witness, Denied Bond

Robin Heidt - charged with intimidating a witness in the double homicide case against her brother-in-law was denied bond in an Effingham County courtroom Wednesday morning. She will remain in the Effingham County Jail pending a case review in Superior Court. Heidt was taken into custody at her home off Ebenezer Road Tuesday evening. She is wife of Effingham County murder victim Carey Heidt. Carey and his father, Philip Heidt, were killed in August of 2008.
Philip Craig Heidt has pleaded not guilty to killing his father and brother and attempting to kill his mother. The Effingham County Sheriff's Office cannot comment because a gag order has been issued.
