SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Book lovers in downtown Savannah had a chance to meet and greet some of their favorite authors at the Third Annual Savannah Book Festival.
Folks crowded into different venues around Telfair Square on Saturday for a chance to hear presentations and meet authors from around the country.
There were also tents where literature enthusiasts could browse through a large selection of books.
Organizers said this year's event has been a rousing success so far.
"Anybody who's a book lover needs to get down here. I mean, it's just... You're not going to find this concentration of amazing, award-winning and engaging authors any where in the country. We've got it all, and it's the best book festival in the country," said Katherine Oxnard, assistant to the director of the Savannah Book Festival.
The festival continued with a concert tribute to Southern writer Eudora Welty Saturday night at Trinity Church. Events wrap up with a Sunday Brunch Talk at the Jepson Center for the Arts.
