After a year long deployment to Afghanistan Georgia's National Guard is coming home.
Tomorrow morning the first wave of soldiers will land at Hunter Army Airfield.
The first element of the 48th to return is the Savannah based 118th Field Artillery.
While in Afghanistan they were tasked with training police and security forces.
Eight soldiers from the 48th died in Afghanistan during the deployment.
