SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Chatham Area Transit is on its way to getting two new fuel-efficient buses.
Congressman Jack Kingston's office announced CAT will receive more than $1 million to buy two new 35 foot hybrid buses that will replace vehicles purchased in 1996.
“This investment will reduce operating costs and save tax dollars for years to come by making CAT more energy-efficient,” said Kingston in a news release.
