We're just over two weeks away from Savannah's biggest celebration of the year...and Sunday members of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee gathered to elect their Grand Marshal. The election and a private reception were held at Benedictine Military School. Dennis Herb was chosen as this year's unofficial king of the parade. He says he's been on the committee for more than forty years and his selection is a dream come true, “It's the greatest feeling in the world. It's unbelievable. I'm so proud and humbled to be the Grand Marshal and to be among all these great Irishmen - to be following in the footsteps of the past Grand Marshals that I’ve looked at - it's unbelievable.” The new Grand Marshal says his four sons and two brothers will serve as his aids. The parade steps off at 10:15 the morning of Wednesday, March 17th. You can watch the entire thing live on WSAV.
