Blanket Drive in Savannah Kicks Off

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Would you like to help some one stay warm this winter?
Well you can, rather easily... donate a new blanket.
Starting today Senior Citizens Inc is teaming up with Starbucks, Georgia Natural Gas and BB&T to collect blankets.
The annual drive will last until the end of January.
“A lot of the clients that we serve are on fixed incomes. If they have to jack their thermostat up to compensate to keep their house warm that really cuts into money that they need for other living expenses like pharmaceutical drugs, food and other household needs,” explains Tim Rutherford of Senior Citizens, Inc.
The blankets can be dropped off at BB&T and Starbucks.
New this year if you drop off a blanket or donate 10 dollars at a Starbucks in Savannah you get a free drink.
If you are in need of a blanket, you can contact Senior Citizens, inc at 912- 236.0363
