Savannah's Sister City In Haiti Has Minimul Damage

The City of Savannah has a sister city in Haiti, Saint Mary. The city recevied minimul damage, but they recevie most of their supplies via Port-au-Prince. Savannah officials are discussing how our city can help.

City of Savannah manager, Michael Brown, says they have been in touch with their sister city, Saint Mary in Haiti. While there is minimal damage the city receives most of its supplies via Port-au-Prince.

There is no word yet on how the city plans on helping our Haitian counterpart but Brown says they are discussing options.

The City of Savannah has a long standing relationship with Haiti. Hundreds of years ago the Haitian soldiers came to Savannah to help. Savannah actually has a monument which was recently erected in honor of those soldiers.
