(Savannah) Months after twists, turns, and debates reforming health care is still a critical fight. Concerned neighbors made a house call to Congressman John Barrow’s office in Savannah today. They want to rekindle the need for quality care for everyone. "We do not want to let it die. We do not want it to get lost in the details. We don't want it to get lost in whatever legislation thing people don't like or do like. This is more about the issue of health care and health care reform than it is about the bill before Congress," says Claudia Collier. David Butler tells News 3 that he just applied for health insurance… got a good premium, but the rate quickly changed. "I had no issue …no claim. The policy has gone up by 30 percent in 3 months. What's the reason for it? It just seems inexplicable and unjust." People like David hope their stories will influence how lawmakers vote on Health Care. Some people at today's rally are concerned that Congressman Barrow hasn't done enough to strengthen or fight for the Health Care Bill. Here's the response that Congressman Barrow sent News 3 today.
"I've said from the beginning that I hope that the House and Senate can come up with a solution that brings down costs, regulates the health care industry, and gets folks the coverage they need. I worked to accomplish those goals, in the committee and afterwards, and I'm ready to work as long and as hard as it takes to get it done right.
