Some young Savannah students got the chance to show off their "art smarts".
Friday was the final showcase for the annual Art Smarts Camp. The program is a partnership between the Savannah College of Art and Design and the Savannah Arts Academy.
The young campers get a better understanding of the arts and get a jump start on the new school year.
"Visual arts, creative writing, dance and performing arts, computer graphics, which is extremely popular. They come everyday from 9:00 to 3:00, and we have this great closing showcase every single Friday where parents and family can come see their accomplishments," said Katrine Trantham, senior director of recruitment for SCAD.
This was the third year for the Art Smarts Camp. The students range in age from seven to 14.
