SAVANNAH, Ga. -- With his hands in his pockets and smiling broadly, POTUS walks into a plant here at 2 p.m. flanked by three Chatham Steel employees, including Victor Johnson, a supervisor, Chief Operating Officer Mike Young and an unidentified man.

Obama walks up to several men wearing hardhats and manning a large piece of machinery: "How are you? What are you guys working on?"

Kenneth Patrick Maddox, a senior operator, shows Obama how a machine works. Obama shows interest, following Maddox as he works the machine.

Obama then motions to some of the press pool and says to Maddox: "These guys aren't messing it up are they?"

He then looks back at Maddox and asks: "You do this all to spec based on this programming?" Maddox takes Obama over to a computer to show him how it works.

Chatham Steel workers then escort Obama to another large, blue machine that looks like it came right out of a Terminator movie. Sparks are shooting out of the bottom of it. The press pool is escorted out of the plant around 2 p.m.
