Members of the Chatham County Youth Commission are getting ready for their close-up. The CCYC is in Rockefeller Plaza at the TODAY Show. The group hopes to get the attention of the camera and Today Show Weatherman, Al Roker.
Later, Youth Commissioners will take a tour of historic St. Patrick's Cathedral before traveling back to Washington to meet with Congressman Jack Kingston on Capitol Hill.
Tuesday, the Chatham County Youth Commission began the third day of it's 2010 Annual Legislative Tour with wonderful weather as they headed from New York to Philadelphia, PA. Unlike, years past, there was no snow or severly cold temperatures.
Upon arrival in New York, the Youth Commissioners toured the United Nations and learned about the special role that the UN plays in promoting world peace and humanity. Later, they toured New York City by subway and NYC bus before resting in New Jersey for the evening.
The group will return to Savannah early Thursday morning.
