Irish Music For Education

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Some lucky Chatham students got a special preview today of the headliner for Saturday’s Tara Feis. Cathie Ryan’s band performed for more than a thousand students in the Trustee’s Theater. The education concert was filled with traditional Irish music. It’s sponsored by the Savannah Music Festival. “This is something that we do every festival. It's actually one of our more favorite parts of it. We educate 20,000 children throughout and before the festival. So this is the first one - it's about Irish music and literally the children can participate and learn about musical arts," says Marketing Director Maria Lancaster. The education series runs all of next week and most of the following. All shows are at 11 a-m at Trustee’s Theater.
