SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Neighbors gathered on Savannah's west side Tuesday night, looking for answers in the shooting death of Larry Wall, Jr.
The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Wall's family lead a march through the Carver Heights area.
Police said an officer fatally shot Wall Monday after Wall stabbed the officer during a foot chase.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the incident.
"Our focus is to make sure we see the process to the end. We are confident that our current chief has done the right thing in bringing the GBI in. Tonight is a march for unity, a march for prayer that the end result will be justice," said Rev. Carl Gilliard with the Coastal Georgia Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
Police said the officer was responding to a report of vandalism at the time.
