Investigators said one man is behind bars after authorities seized drugs and guns from an eastside home.
Agents from the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team executed a search warrant in the 800 block of East Henry Street early Friday morning.
Officials said Steve Brown III, 44, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug related objects for use, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving stolen property (firearm).
Authorities said they seized cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication, five guns, ammunition, and items used in selling drugs. Investigators said one of the guns was stolen.
The investigation took 7 months, after CNT agents received a tip about drug sales at the home.
Brown was taken to the Chatham County jail and will appear before a judge Saturday.
